Read This Book
People who know me personally know I am reading this book and have been for several weeks now - maybe going on months. I am reading like 4 other titles right now - I can be obsessive about book collecting and reading and more recently I have been interested in Non-Fiction.
Carl Anthony is an architect, planner and community organizer who founded one of the first Environmental Justice organizations in the US. The conversational tone of the book weaves details of his life in tandem with the movements of mid 20th century. He easily breaks down complex concept bout space, race and the built environment that resonate. I think if you're not familiar with or perhaps not really interested in environmental justice his story will definitely have you rethink the hows and whys we inhabit the spaces we do. You should read it.
